New Mapping Specifications for Mountain Bike Maps (posted 9 July 2010)
The IOF has now published a new version of the International Specification for Mountain Bike Orienteering Maps. It is available at the IOF homepage, in the Rules and Guidelines section:

An Australian edition incorporating the new track system is available in OCAD9 format here: ISMTBO_ Aust_ standard_ 2010_Ocad9.ocd.
Mapping Technology Workshop (updated 13 May 2010)
A Mapping Technology Workshop, to be held in conjunction with the Australian Championships in South Australian, is to be held on Monday 27th September 2010, in Adelaide. Topics will include:
- Practical use of GPS in mapping
- Current developments in GPS technology
- OCAD 10 and Google Earth
- Precision digital photogrammetry and digital georeferenced aerial photography

If you wish to register, present a short paper or contribute to the Workshop, please contact the OA Mapping Chairperson.
The workshop is intended as a forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences in using the latest technologies for map making. A guest speaker has accepted an invitation to talk about digital photogrammetry and georeferenced aerial photographs.
