The first of two MTBO events being held as part of the 2012 Christmas 5 Days Foot Orienteering carnival in Victoria's north east.

Mass start at 5.30pm

Entry Fee: $18 adults, $9 juniors, $45 families.

Map: Indigo Winery”, 1:7,500, 5 metre contour interval.

Terrain: Open country with rows of grapes and small patches of native bush near water courses.

Notes: Mass starts from 5.30 (in groups of 25); 75-minute scatter course with “a twist”: wine tasting and sales immediately following the event – bring some bread and cheese and make a late afternoon of it in the delightful setting of this picturesque winery.

Directions from Beechworth: Take the Beechworth to Wangaratta Road 6 km to the Indigo Winery sign, turn left into the winery and proceed slowly through the property 1.5 kms on a dirt track to the start/finish location at the cellar door sales buildings.

Start: Start adjacent to parking behind the cellar door wine sales building.

Start times: Try to arrive between 4.30 and 5.15 pm so you can get your bike ready for a 5.30 pm start.
