Silva DuO race #1 at Ballarat – Entries close today!!

The Ballarat Silva Duo is set to run again this Sunday (29 January). The event is organized by Eureka Orienteers and gives competitors the challenge of foot and mountain bike orienteering in the same event, with participants returning to a central transition point three times as they return from the first run leg, swap to the bike and then head out on a final run leg.

This year the event is being staged from the Sparrow Ground Recreation Reserve in Spencer St Ballarat East. This start/finish point will see the event utilize the parks, forests, trails and semi-rural lands from Ballarat East through to Canadian Forest.

Competitors have a choice of tackling a short or long course either as a solo, a team of two and there is also a relay option. Spectators will get a great view of the event unfolding at Sparrow ground and a number of control points will be placed close by the transition point.
