Following the interest generated in the 1st JWOC Training Camp maps, the 2007 JWOC organisers are pleased to be able to make available the Men's A Courses from the NSW Ultimax Stingers 5 Days event.

1st JWOC Training Camp Results

The 1st 2007 JWOC Training Camp ended earlier today with a Middle Distance event held on Canberra's Black Mountain.
The results of this event and those for the Sprint Distance event (held at Canberra's ANU), and the Long Distance event conducted at Honeysuckle Creek in Namadji National Park, south of Canberra are also available.

With the NSW Stingers 5 Days event now only 9 days away, for those international junior orienteers not able to make it down under for the traditional Australian Summer 5 Days event or for the 1st JWOC Training Camp, the JWOC2007 organisers have been out in the bush taking some shots of typical granite features.

JWOC Sprint Distance Event Venue Confirmed

With the lions watching keenly in the background and eyeing the control flags with interest, JWOC2007 Marketing Manager Paul Prudhoe and Western Plains Zoo's Life Sciences Manager Maria Finnigan announced that the Western Plains Zoo would be the venue for the 2007 JWOC Sprint Distance event.

Orienteering Queensland to host additional pre-JWOC Training Camp

Orienteering Queensland (OQ) has announced its' plan to offer places at its' annual junior training camp to prospective 2007 JWOC competitors. The camp will be held in Queensland's own "granite belt' near Warwick, from June 23rd to June 28th.

With the 2006 Junior World Orienteering Championships in Lithuania now well and truly over, the baton is now in New South Wales' hands. While in Lithuania, in an effort to promote interest and enthusiasm for the event "Down Under", a number of the Australian Cheer Squad, made the Middle Distance Final Day, "Dubbo Day".
